Frontier

The Frontier's sky.

The Frontier is the limbo between Earth and Lyoko.

It is usually the consequence of an issue occurring during devirtualization, but also of some other things.

Access

There are multiple ways to end up here:

• Falling into the digital sea.
• Being devirtualized while having a DNA Issue preventing you from doing so.
• Being devirtualized while all three Scanners are already busy.
• Being devirtualized while the Supercomputer is offline.
• Being in a sector the moment it is fully destroyed or flooded by a Software Attack launched by XANA.
• Virtualizing in the same scanner as someone else.

Exit

There are only three ways to exit the Frontier:

• Waiting for someone to save you using a Waytower or Sector Five's interface.
• Pressing F after staying for three minutes to give up, leading to a game over taking away all your items and some of your Knowledge.
• Waiting for the countdown to reach zero, leading to a game over.

Trivia

• The Frontier was originally a white box in the same world as Sector Five. It is now its own entire world, stretching out forever.
• It is technically possible to find other players if you're lucky enough.
• The original Frontier added an item on your head to add a blinding white effect. This is no longer the case.
