Modrinth Modpack

The MRCL server is meant to be fully playable just by joining with your Minecraft launcher and accepting the Resource Pack.
However, a modpack was designed to improve performance and visuals for a better experience.

We've uploaded a modpack with allowed and recommended mods on Modrinth: https://modrinth.com/modpack/mrcl. You will need to use the Modrinth launcher to install it (some other launchers can do so as well, but we will not help you find them).
This includes:

• Multiple mods (performance, quality of life, visuals...)
• A BSL Shader with recommended settings, turned off by default.
• An alternative skybox pack based on season 4, which can be enabled or disabled like any other resource pack.

List of Mods

Performance

• Entity Culling: Improves performance by no longer rendering blocks or entities that are not visible.
• FerriteCore: Improves performance by optimizing memory usage.
• ModernFix: Improves performance, reduces memory usage and optimizes resource pack loading, sometimes fixing the "Resource reload failed" error on weaker machines.
• Sodium: Massively improves performance.
• Language Reload: Improves the language selection menu and optimizes it to not have to reload the entire game whenever changing it.

Quality of Life & Visuals

• Continuity: Adds the ability to enable Optifine's connected textures feature without Optifine (optional, as you must activate the resource packs included with the mod if you want to use them).
• Disable Click Event Warning: Removes the pop-up that appears whenever trying to click on options in the chat (e.g devirtualization requests).
• FancyMenu: Adds a new custom MRCL-styled main menu.
• Iris Shaders: Adds the ability to use shaders.
• Mod Menu: Adds a menu listing all installed mods.
• Nuit: Adds the ability to implement custom skyboxes (allows the use of the season 4 skybox pack).
• Restore Chat Links: Restores the ability to click URL links in chat.
• Zoomify: Adds the ability to zoom similarly to Optifine.
