Anniversary 2026
The Anniversary 2026 event celebrates the 9th anniversary of MRCL. It is separated into two parts: the Creative Server and the Anniversary 2024 re-run.
Creative Server
The Creative server is the main part of the event. It is a proof of concept for a potential future feature and is therefore temporary, but it may come back later in a more stable state alongside more customization options.
It is an alternative server in which players can build freely using MRCL's sector format and biomes as a base for their worlds. Towers of different types (including some old ones that are now unused) can also be placed and activated through the /faketower command:
- I/O Tower (refers to the towers introduced in the I/O Update, currently used in most sectors)
- I/O Floating Tower (currently used in Sector Five)
- Evolution Tower (currently used in the Cortex)
- I/O Evolution Tower (previous version of the Evolution Tower, currently unused)
- Round Evolution Tower (first version of the Evolution Tower, currently unused)
- Beacon Tower (originally used for all towers before the I/O Update, currently used on Old Lyoko)
Players can play around in their worlds with powers as if they were virtualized, even including the Classes from the April Fools 2026 event using the /play command (and /build to disable play mode).
A contest was also being held to build the best arena.
Anniversary 2024 Re-Run
As to not leave the main server without anything going on, Tyron attacks and colored Overvehicles have been re-enabled temporarily, with Patreon colors being granted to all players for a month. Some minor changes have also been made:
- Overvehicles now have their own color setting in the virtual menu instead of taking the player's primary power color.
- Overvehicle wireframes no longer use the player's secondary power color. No alternative setting has been added.
- Angel Wings can now be colored.
